1960's VESPA POSTER
http://www.flickr.com/photos/culturesponge/245050465/
DESCRIPTION
Poster displayed portrait. Shows a photo of a beach, with a young couple facing away from the camera running into the sea. They are wearing bathing suits, and the woman appears to be throwing away an item of clothing. The scooter being advertised can be seen off to the right side in the foreground, but it is not the focal point of the photo. There is no text, logo etc to identify or give any information about the product.
ANALYSIS
The ad encourages a feeling of being young and care free, emotions the manufacturer wants associated with their scooter. The shape and styling of the vespa scooters has become so iconic that it did not need identifying. It is not even made clear which model is shown.
